2011
In 2011, the National Human Rights Commission of Thailand came up with a Strategic Plan for the year 2011-2016, laying guidelines for strengthening the organization to have high capacity by developing various mechanisms, systems and working processes that could support the organization to fully and effectively carry out its tasks. A Master Plan was therefore created to establish and develop a Human Rights Information Center in Office of the National Human Rights Commission of Thailand for the year 2011-2015 with an objective to establish and develop a library to become Human Rights Information Center in Office of the National Human Rights Commission of Thailand.
2014
On August 1, 2014, name of the library was changed to be Human Rights Information Center in Office of the National Human Rights Commission of Thailand and has since then begun to collect human rights information, manage information resource database and automatic library system, develop human rights information service, and improve facilities of the Human Rights Information Center.
2017
In 2017, a Strategic Plan of the National Human Rights Commission of Thailand Human Rights Information Center in Office of the National Human Rights Commission of Thailand was defined for the year 2017-2022, laying down directions for promoting knowledge and creating awareness on human rights, correctly communicating human rights situations and significant outcomes of the National Human Rights Commission to the general public, and making arrangements to have a center of knowledge and information source on human rights by developing the Human Rights Information Center to be a source of collection of knowledge and information on human rights for disseminating and providing service to the people in general both in the country and in other countries.
On September 4, 2017, Office of the National Human Rights Commission organized a ceremony to officially launch the Human Rights Information Center under the concept of Synchronizing Space to connect knowledge and network, create people and human rights, to be a space for cooperation and creation of information and knowledge on human rights through networks by using information technology to support to make it fast, effective and easy to access for personnel in the organization and members of the public in general in order to work in cooperation for human rights because knowledge is key power to help protect human rights.
2018
Benefactor of the Library Sector and the study of Library and Information Science of the Year, Thai Library Association, 2017
Thai Library Association (TLA) under the Patronage of H.R.H. Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn and the National Library of Thailand has honored “Office of the National Human Rights Commission of Thailand” is a benefactor to the library sector and the study of the Library and Information Science in 2017. Outstanding Library Award, Thai Library Association, 2021
