บทคัดย่อ |
Summary: This discussion paper examines key reform options for recognising and remunerating unpaid caring work in Australia. It follows on from a 2009 paper on the gender gap in retirement savings, by examining the nature of unpaid caring work, the barriers for women's participation in the labour force, different models and measures of valuing unpaid work and their possible impact on retirement savings, and current mechanisms in the workplace that support caring work. This paper is supported a set of technical papers by the Social Policy Research Centre at the University of New South Wales, as well as by a community version and a toolkit of practical examples for employers |
